Hampton Inn and Suites: Travel Review
My husband and I just returned from a fabulous “second honeymoon” trip. This past Wednesday was our 25th wedding anniversary. This trip is the first time in 15 years that we traveled alone. The first time was on our 10th anniversary and it was a weekend cruise to the Bahamas. I’ve always hated leaving our kids behind but it is important for couples to find time to get away together, without the kids, and focus on each other. Needless to say, we have not done this enough. The first stop on our way to our final destination was an overnight stay in Florence, South Carolina. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites. Whenever we travel, we always try to find a Hampton Inn. We’ve always enjoyed clean rooms and great hotel service. We’ve never had a bad experience at any Hampton. This trip was no exception.

As always, the bed was nice and clean. It was well made, fresh, and ready for a good night’s sleep.

We’ve always enjoyed late night television as we’re winding down. The TV service has always been good.

The microwave and refrigerator were clean and in excellent working condition.

Every room in which we’ve ever stayed always has a nice large desk,
complete with a phone and lamp. It is large enough for a full size
laptop and plenty of room for paperwork.

The wall decor is always interesting. This particular room sported a black and white race car theme.

I’ve always appreciated the nice, large full floor length mirror which usually hangs on the closet door.

The bathrooms are always decorated with beautiful woodwork and granite counter tops.

Every room has always supplied a good working hair dryer.

Behind the bathroom door is an open cabinet which houses bath clothes
and towels. If the coffee pot is not on the counter top, it is usually
inside this cabinet.

The toilets are always fresh and clean.

Again, the wall decor is always nice. The photographs are usually in black and white.

Clean showers are important to me. I’ve never been disappointed at a Hampton Inn.

Also in the closet is a plastic bag for soiled laundry.

One of the things we enjoy most is the breakfast which is included in
our hotel stay. There’s no extra charge for the large selection of
breakfast food items.

We always find several kinds of cereal and milk.

Lots of fruit and yogurt are usually available.

Coffee drinkers enjoy a nice selection of flavors.

My personal favorite is the oatmeal. There are always several toppings
including brown sugar and nuts. They usually offer almonds but on this
morning, it was mixed nuts.

If you prefer a hot breakfast, the Hampton Inn and Suites always offers a
hot meal selection. On this particular morning, it was scrambled eggs,
maple sausage, and french toast.

You can even make your own waffles.
There is really nothing negative I can say about our experiences with
the Hampton Inn. We’ve always enjoyed our stay there. If you’re
searching for a hotel that is nice and clean without draining your bank
account, I recommend it. My recommendation is not based on any
agreement or affiliation with the Hampton. It is based on personal
experience only.
