Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. – Exodus 31:1-2
Now Bezalel and Oholiab, and every skillful person in whom the Lord has put skill and understanding to know how to perform all the work in the construction of the sanctuary, shall perform in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.” – Exodus 36:1
We Are His Workers
God called Bezalel by name. He put skill and understanding in Bezalel
so that he would know how to properly construct His tabernacle. God
called out His workers then and He calls out His workers today.
Not only does God call out His workers, but He also gives wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of craftsmanship. I’ve read hundreds of times about how God gives wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to those who ask Him for it, but the last part of Exodus 31:3 stood out to me today. God also gives all kinds of craftsmanship. When God calls out His children for a specific purpose, He not only gives wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, but He also gives the skill and ability to get the job done. This brings a well-known phrase to mind: God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship. – Exodus 31:3
Sincerity and sweat do not always suffice. God places us in positions beyond our capabilities so that we will be at His absolute mercy, realizing that only He can succeed. – Beth MooreTo complete the entire, in-depth Bible study, A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place by Beth Moore, get your copy here.
