The following are my notes taken during my pastor's sermon.
A Faith-Full Family
The following are my notes taken during my pastor's sermon.
1. The family needs to be full of vision.By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen. - Hebrews 11:23-17
His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed. - Psalm 112:2
Train up a child in the way he should go,2. The family needs to be full of courage.
Even when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6
Notice in Hebrews 11:23 that they were not afraid of the king's edict.
3. The family needs to be full of conviction.
In Hebrews 11:24, Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter.
Moses was educated in all the learning of the Egyptians, and he was a man of power in words and deeds. - Acts 7:22Family decisions should be based on conviction.
