You might think wearing perfume just makes you smell better, but perfumes do much more for us than that. Fruity and floral scents can reduce stress and help us get the sleep we need. When we are less stressed, well rested, and smell great, we are more self confident in general. A boost in self confidence leads to a more productive life style. We feel better about ourselves so we perform daily tasks better.
Certain scents can make us feel nostalgic. I can still smell my grandmother's favorite lotion. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it was a rosy scent. She kept a bottle by her kitchen sink. She has been gone for almost 29 years, but every time I smell that rosy scent coming from a perfume or a plant, I remember her and how good she smelled when she used that rosy scented lotion. Memories like that make me smile. Certain scents that make us remember sweet memories can make us realize how blessed we are to have lived those moments in time.
