The term "grace" refers to God's unmerited favor towards you and me. It is a gift from God that cannot be earned or deserved. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” This scripture emphasizes that salvation is not based on our works or merits but is purely a gift from God through Christ Jesus.

Salvation is a rescue from sin, which is a fundamental truth in the Christian faith. According to Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This passage underscores the universal condition of humanity—everyone has sinned and is in need of redemption.
